IndustriAll Europe created the Digital Technology and Robotisation network, uniting the former ICT and Mechanical Engineering networks. This merger reflects the deepening integration of digital systems and advanced machinery across European industry. From embedded electronics, semi-conductors and software to cutting-edge robotics and connected industrial equipment, this new network addresses the full spectrum of digital and mechanical innovation, which are reshaping production systems, workplaces and skills across Europe.

The network will address the challenges and opportunities brought by automation and robotisation, artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing and connected equipment. It will focus on ensuring that digitalisation and robotisation support the creation of quality jobs and a sustainable European industrial development.

Building on a strong legacy of social dialogue and policy engagement, the network will work to:

  • Anticipate the impact of new technologies on employment, working conditions, and skills, in the context of Industry 5.0
  • Promote a Just Transition in the shift to digital and green industry.
  • Influence European industrial, digital, and employment policies to secure fair outcomes for workers.
  • Strengthen workers’ participation in shaping technological change.
By uniting expertise and action across two vital sectors, the Digital Technology and Robotisation network reinforces industriAll Europe’s commitment to putting workers at the heart of Europe’s industrial future.
