Many thanks for your action to urge your respective governments and MEPs to support the immediate launch of an investigation under the GSP into the serious and systematic violations of fundamental labour rights in Bangladesh. Our international pressure paid off. For now, the majority of the 35 Bangladeshi unionists and garment workers arrested since December last year have been released, and the remaining should be freed shortly. Europe cannot be complicit about labour rights violations in Bangladesh. Our international trade union movement sends a strong message and made a real difference. Thank you again for your support!
