The Youth Academy is part of an EU-funded project and is addressed to young trade union leaders (under the age of 35), experts and activists from industriAll Europe affiliates in EU Member States and candidate countries. The invitation to this event has been sent out.

Our Youth work is strategic, and we kindly ask affiliates to share this information and encourage a strong participation. We accept one or several eligible participant(s) from affiliate organizations. Participants should have the capacity to actively participate in this training and directly apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the course in their trade union work.

The training is the first activity of the project and further regional workshops follow in autumn: in Brussels (September), in Zagreb (October) and in Madrid (November).

The industriAll Europe Youth Academy takes place on 2-5 March 2020 at the ITC-ILO Campus in Turin, Italy.

It will address the following aspects:

  • Future of work and future of industry in Europe;
  • Organizing and collective bargaining;
  • Just transition and climate change – impacts on industry;
  • Digitalisation and new forms of work;
  • European work councils;
  • Strengthening participation and representation of young industrial workers in trade unions.

The Academy will also prepare the input of industriAll Europe’s Youth to our Congress in May 2020.

We hope to give 50 young trade unionists from EU Member States and candidate countries the opportunity to participate in the Academy. Interpretation is available in English, French, Italian, Croatian and (passive) Serbian. Further languages might be offered upon request. Travel to Turin, full board, lodging and training at the ITC-ILO are funded by the project for EU Member States and candidate countries.

Deadline for registration is 14th February 2020.
