The agreement will deliver:

  • Annual pay rises of 2.0% for 2018 and 2019, and 1.8% for 2020. An additional maximum of 0.5% depending on the inflation.
  • An annual 3.0% increase in the sectoral, minimum wage so that it reaches €14,000 by 2021. From 1 January 2021 all textile workers will be receiving at least this guaranteed, minimum wage of €14,000.

IndustriAll Europe general secretary Luc Triangle praises the unity of the involved parties and emphasises the advantage for the workers in the textile industry of having a national regulation of their working conditions.

This is fully in line with the collective bargaining campaign that industriAll Europe will launch in 2019. Our goal is to ensure that workers across Europe are fairly rewarded for the added value which they produce.
